Lolz, I’m probably the only high schooler in NY state right now studying soil horizons right now. Want to know why? Tomorrow is the New York State Envirothon, which is basically a competition which tests your knowledge in the categories of wildlife, soils (that’s me!), aquatics, forestry, and a current issue. We got lucky with this year’s current issue, which was low-impact development regarding stormwater pollution. This issue is very interesting and my team definitely has a clear understanding of it. I love my team, we’re awesome.

At regionals this year the team that always won got third place! When we found this out we were shocked! It was like a soap opera for nerds, everyone was like “OMG, WHAT HAPPENED!?!?!?” Yeah, it definitely was an upset this year. Our little, small-town, confident team won! Nobody expected it! It was definitely a good day for us. 

Whether or not we win tomorrow I’m going to have the time of my life with people I adore! I LOVE YOU AQUATARDS! WE WILL NOT DRAIN! 

P.S. Bonus points to anyone who knows what an aquatard is!
